At Django, we proudly collaborate with small organic farmers to craft gelato using only the finest ingredients. Our commitment to purity, sustainability, and ethical sourcing guides every partnership we form.
Milk
We source our milk from Livaderos Organic Farm, which provides organic, low-pasteurization, homogenized milk — never processed in any other way. It’s fresh, pure, and aligned with our standards.
Fruit
Our main fruit supplier is Dimitra Tsakiri of GIS Erga, an organic farm in Kiveri, Argolida. Dimitra is a renowned figure in Greek agriculture and a true advocate for sustainable farming.
Nuts
We get our nuts from Eirini Spanouli, who runs an agricultural collective in the lush region of Tempi. Her produce is as pure as the land it comes from.
Chocolate
Our organic chocolate comes from Kakau Worship, a Greek artisan chocolate maker that shares our values. Their cacao beans are sourced exclusively from farms that have abolished slavery and exploitative labor practices, and are certified for full transparency.
Vanilla
We do not import vanilla as we cannot find beans with transparency certification at a price that our gelato would meet the economical standards of Greece.
Packaging
All of our disposables are 100% compostable and certified to meet the highest EU environmental standards.

Our Ethics at Django
At Django, ethics aren’t just a value — they’re at the heart of everything we do.
By working closely with small Greek farmers, we’ve built our own small-scale circular economy. Every ingredient is sourced with care, every partnership rooted in respect.
We produce our gelato in small batches — no more than 200 kilos a day — and we sell out almost daily. This approach significantly reduces our electricity and water usage, helping us minimize our environmental impact.
Sometimes, nature surprises us. A watermelon, for instance, may not be perfect inside — something we can’t always know until it’s opened. But instead of wasting it, we honor the farmers’ effort and nature’s authenticity by creating the best gelato possible, no matter the imperfections.

All our packaging is 100% compostable, ensuring we leave the smallest possible footprint on the planet and its ecosystems.
With all these practices combined, Django offers a product that is truly pure, ethical, and sustainable.
